The trade-off is capacity. At 3-1/4 in. it handles typical EMT, small pipe, all-thread and strut, but not the large-diameter work the 2729-20 swallows. It also takes a 35-3/8 in. blade rather than the industry-standard 44-7/8 in., so keep spares specific to this saw on the van.

If you cut metal in a fixed shop or fab bay, a corded deep-cut saw removes the battery question entirely. The DWM120K matches the Milwaukee's 5 in. x 5 in. capacity, runs on a 10 amp motor and never needs a charger, which suits high-volume cutting where a cordless saw would burn through packs.

The 100 to 350 SFPM variable speed range is genuinely useful: low speed for stainless and hardened stock where blade life is the constraint, high speed for aluminium, conduit and mild steel. It takes the standard 44-7/8 in. blade. On site the cord is the obvious limitation, so treat this as the shop saw and keep a cordless one on the van.
